USAGE INFORMATION OF THE FABRICS

  • Upholstery Fabrics

Upholstery fabrics are generally not washed, however they can be wiped or dry-cleaned under appropriate conditions. Especially at fabrics with chenille, dry cleaning is suggested in order for the fantasy appearance not to deteriorate. Other cleaning applications (manual or machine wash, etc.) may lead to deformation on the fabric. Since shrinkage against water liability of %100 viskon or cotton products are very high, it is certainly suggested that delicate dry cleaning should be carried out.

When fabrics with mostly viskon fiber inside them or on their surface are wiped, they must not be left wet for a long time. Since viskon’s endurance decreases when it is wet, sensitivity appropriate for this characteristic must be shown and it must be wiped damp, without wetting.

Because they are natural fibers, although they are painted at high quality, color endurances of viskon and cotton fibers against light are lower than artificial fibers. Therefore they must not be exposed to direct sunlight. Fabrics with dense viskon and cotton on the surface may pill with time. Therefore it is not suggested to veil your furnitures covered with this type of fabrics, because, the clothes that you will cover on them quickens pilling.

Since water stains satin textured fabrics, wet and local cleaning must not be carried out. If they need to be wiped , it is suggested that they are wiped with damp cloth that does not hold water, by spreading with circular movements, or as a whole.

Since cloths with fantasy thread are prone to wear and pilling because of their structure, delicate use is suggested. If you are interested in this kind of fabrics, we suggest that you get information from our customer representatives by evaluating with the purpose of use.

• Protect your fabrics from direct sunlight.

• Frequently reverse the reversable cushions and mattresses of your oturma grupları.

• Before wiping your upholsteries as a whole, make a trial at an unseen part of it as a precaution.

• Never use cleaning materials like bleaching liquid, detergent, colored soap, soft soap and stain remover when wiping, only clean with upholstery shampoo or shampoo produced especially for delicate fabrics.

• If your fabric is appropriate for local cleaning, clean the stains within the shortest possible time. Never deal with difficult stains and refer to a professional.

• Do not use sponge, brush, etc. during cleaning. Wipe by circular movements with a soft cloth that does not hold water, without rubbing.

• Do not expose to direct sunlight during drying and do not use the product unless you ensure that it has dried.

  • Drapery fabrics

Since shrinkage and discoloration is observed on draperies which have natural fibers such as cotton, viskon, linen in their components, they need to be dry-cleaned without exposure to heat and mechanical movement. Even after delicate dry cleaning, even a little bit of shrinkage can be observed on draperies containing natural fiber. Since endurances of this kind of draperies against light are not as high as polyester compounded draperies because of natural fibers in their components, it is suggested that they should not be exposed to direct sunlight or used by lining in order to prevent discoloration.

Washable draperies must generally be washed at 30 degrees in delicate curtain programme, and they must be hanged wet without waiting in the machine after washing. Air flow presence in the environment that they are hanged must be considered. They must not be wringed out and dried in drying machine.

Since most of the detergents contain bleach, special detergents (colormatics, wool shampoo, etc.) produced for colored and delicate fabrics must be used including ekru tulles. Cracks on surface of taffeta draperies are characteristics of the fabric and they are structural. Dry cleaning is suggested; however, delicate wash can be made at 30 degrees. However, cracks may occur after the wash and characteristic crisp and harsh touches of taffeta fabric are lost, get softened. This change occuring on taffeta fabrics after wash is completely natural.

Silken products must never be wiped or washed. Water causes stains and destroys all splendor of silk. It must only and certainly be dry cleaned. It must be ironed steamless and dry. However, although dry cleaning without exposure to heat and mechanical movement is suggested for silk and silk blended organza tulles, they can be washed manually or delicately. However, after washing, touch of this type silk and silk blended tulles may soften and get matte, this is natural.

Hot iron may cause puckers on organza and derivative draperies. This type of fabrics must be ironed at the lowest heat that clears away wrinkles, with steam.

Most of fantasy fabrics are very delicate because they are woven with decorative purposes, and they can deteriorate after washing. They must only be dry cleaned.

Notwithstanding fabric characteristics, all products such as curtain, bedclothes, cushions, armchair wrappers and table cloth that contain cotton or polyester filling fiber or are produced in our workshop by being embroidered with beads, bordures etc. textile accesories must be delicately dry cleaned. In order to prevent deformations that may occur because of dry cleaning chemicals, on products designed with accesories such as beads it is suggested that they are cleaned completely after application of dry cleaning on a small portion.
